Timber marking tags are used as part of the forestry record-keeping system and as proof that the wood was harvested legally. An automatic ejector and a marking hammer place the tag on the tree. You can also engrave additional information on the hammer to mark the wood, such as the name, forest unit number, or company name.

HAMMER FOR MARKING WOOD

There are different types of hammers for marking wood, so the user can choose the one that will best meet the needs. The Standard Head Marking Hammer is the most popular type of marking hammer equipped with a standard head. It can be used with all types of wood marking tags.

Wood tagging hammer with trimming head – the hammer head is equipped with a blade that trims the sides of the tags along with four teeth that attach the tag to the hammer head and prevent it from being reused. In addition, a tag attached in this way is much harder to remove from the wood. This hammer can only be used with special or compact tags.

Hammer for marking wood with an additional code number. The head of such a hammer is equipped with an additional forestry code number, which can be identical to the forest plot number. When marking wood, the number is printed exactly next to the tag. In order to improve the visibility of the code number with this type of head, it is recommended to use the T2 ink tank, which fits 3 in the automatic ejector. Using a head with an additional code number makes reusing the tag or replacing it even more difficult. The numbering head can be used with all types of tags and is also available with a trimming blade.

All hammers can be engraved with a logo or other graphic on the back of the head.

Automatic tag ejector

The automatic tag ejector is a molded tube capable of holding 40 wood marking tags, which are threaded one at a time onto a plastic thin pin. The back of the ejector is designed in such a way that when all the tags are used, the empty pin is locked and only partially extended. This makes it possible to grab it with your hand and take it out of the ejector. This prevents the pins from falling out uncontrollably in the forest. CODIMEX’s automatic marker feeder makes it easy to collect empty marker pins, thereby reducing waste in the forest.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

T1 INK TANK

The T1 ink tank can be mounted on an automatic ejector. It is designed to be used with an engraved logo marking hammer to paint the logo and display it on the deck.

The pigment deposit for the T1 ink cartridge allows for quick, mess-free, colorful, and distinctive marking of wood. The replacement ink cartridge is impregnated with a special waterproof ink that is available in three colors: black, green, and red.

T2 INK TANK

Another optional accessory is the T2 ink tank, which is attached to the piston. The T2 ink tank can only be added by the manufacturer during the automatic ejector product process. It is used in conjunction with a hammer with a code-numbered head. It is used for coloring the code number, which remains on the tree after being stuffed.

CONTAINER FOR 200 PIECES OF TAGS

The tag container is made of aluminum and has five compartments to hold 5 pins with 40 tags. Accordingly, 200 tags can be stored inside. The container can be attached to an automatic tag ejector. There are two different versions of the tag container: standard-size tags or large-format tags.
